On Monday the 24th of February the school and distinguished guests from the Jesuit and Companion Schools of Australia (JACSA), including Father Jose Mesa SJ, Secretary of Education for the Society of Jesus, gathered for our Dedication Mass.
We were privileged to hear Fr. Mesa’s homily, where he pointed out that Saint Ignatius of Loyola was a limited man who had his share of human fears, insecurities and doubts. More importantly, however, Ignatius was also a man who embraced the gifts that God granted him and sought God in all things. During the Mass Fr. Eka blessed the school candle and it was lit for the first time this year. The staff, students, and this years student leaders badges were also blessed. Fr. Mesa also blessed the beautiful cross that the JACSA guests had gifted to the school. It was an honour to have such distinguished guests at our Mass, and we thank them for their attendance.
