On our Feast Day every year, we will award one student from each year level and two adults from our school community who have demonstrated our school outcomes of conscience, competence, commitment and compassion.
See below for recipients of the 2024 Ignatian Awards and the reasons for their nominations:
Staff Award: Andrea Clark | Ms Clark has modelled our special character this year with her commitment to Maths, her adoption and modeling of our Ignatian Catholic character of finding God in all things. Most importantly Mrs Clakr makes it easy to find God in her through her energy, positivity and commitment to us all. |
Staff Award: Avril Johnston | Mrs Johnston was the first person I employed for the college and has shown great commitment to ensure our school finances and resources have all been put in place. She has shown high competence, always with the commitment to finding God in others with her great sense of humour. |
Year 7 Award: Samuel Speedy | Samuel has been generous in sharing his musical talents with the school community. He has demonstrated consistent responsibility in his learning, active and respectful participation in his classes and eagerness for new knowledge. He has also evidently been growing in his spirituality and reflectiveness. |
Year 8 Award : George Moody | George continuously displays a strong passion for learning. Since George has joined the school, his enthusiasm, positive attitude and joy of involvement at all levels has been truly evident. Both staff and students appreciate George and his valuable contributions. George continues to grow in all areas of our four C’s and is an excellent example to others. |
Year 9 Award : Olivia Fitzpatrick | Right from the beginning of this school year, Olivia has shown herself to be a compassionate leader. She notices what is happening around her and takes quiet and competent steps to improve our school community for all. She is utterly reliable in all she does and has committed herself fully to serving our school humbly and with joy. |
